Ce rapport concerne le jeu Devotion ayant malheureusement été supprimé de Steam.
COMMENT J'AI PRATIQUÉ
Jeu téléchargé légalement sur le site du développeur Red Candle Games en version 412cce31, puis ajouté à Steam en tant que jeu non-Steam avec outil de compatiblité paramétré sur Proton 9.0-4. Affichage sur ma télé en 720p@50Hz (connexion via le Dock officiel en HDMI), 50 images par seconde, qualité graphique au maximum. Manette Xbox 360 filaire avec Steam Input désactivé (et un modèle "Souris uniquement" affecté au Deck).
CONCLUSION
Très bonne expérience. De la bidouille est nécessaire pour choisir la langue française : modification du fichier config.json en suivant les instructions sur le site du développeur. Mais c'est la même chose sous Windows. Une note importante : avec Proton 7.0-3 le jeu fonctionne en apparence, sauf que les émissions télévisées du jeu ne s'affichent jamais et cela finit par bloquer notre progression (même souci sous Windows 7). Heureusement avec Proton 9.0-3 (ou 9.0-4) ça fonctionne et j'ai pu terminer l'histoire sans problème. Il y a des chutes de framerate, particulièrement quand on entre dans une nouvelle pièce, mais la plupart du temps ça tournait à 50 ips stables.
The game seemingly worked fine with proton, but after a while I realized videos playing on TVs in the game do not show up. I tried different versions of proton, going back to 5.x, nothing changed. Using WineD3D made it worse by showing random textures on the TV screen.
While initially just annoying, this becomes game-breaking later on in the game where in a cutscene, you sit in front of a TV and are supposed to watch a video. Since the video never starts playing, it will also never end, so the cutscene never ends and you're stuck.
When I added the game in lutris, I tried different versions of wine, starting from the latest, and lutris-fshack-6.21 was the first one that worked.
Overall graphic setting change to medium.
Do not use default graphic setting. Use medium instead.
The game work flawlessly when using medium graphic setting. No control issue. No sound issue.
This game original SteamID is 1006510. It being removed from steam library due to publisher doesn't want to publish this game anymore in 2019. I use 1026010 (DLC) to write this report instead.
After steam library being removed, the game developer team publish game themself. I tried their version by add game through "Add Non Steam Game" to my library, force use Proton 7.03, then it just work.
